Jobs Matter

Jobs Matter is an employment retention program for at-risk and homeless youth age 16 and up. Youth work one on one with an employment counselor to seek out and maintain employment that is suitable to their skills and attributes. Once employment is found, the employment counselor mediates between the employer and the participant to ensure that all parties are satisfied and any issues are resolved. Jobs Matter works with up to 15 youth a year with a goal of all participants retaining employment for a minimum of six months. The employment counselor also works one on one with participants to address any personal employment or social barriers that may impede job retention.
