Operation Come Home relies heavily on the individual donations of fantastic individuals such as yourself. Funds donated directly to OCH will go towards supporting programs that otherwise do not receive funding from grants, sponsorships, etc.
For example, our drop-in centre is the only youth drop-in centre open in the mornings. We believe this is an incredibly important part of our organization as we will see anywhere between 20-50 youth a day who are coming to get a warm breakfast, clean clothes, social support or any number of things. From here, many of the youth are first introduced to and referred to our various other programs such as our social enterprises, the education program or one of our employment programs.
Unfortunately, the drop-in is not funded by any specific company or grant so this would be an example of where cash donations would go to. Donations would help to pay for the 2 support workers who work with up to 50 youth daily as well as provide a healthy, well-rounded breakfast for the youth
