Operation Come Home Listed as one of Financial Post Magazine’s Charities of the Year 2016

It was announced in Financial Post Magazine’s December 2016 issue that Operation Come Home has been selected as one of their 23 charities of the year. The selection process begins with reviewing 86,000 registered charities across Canada and narrowing down to the 740 that meet Financial Post Magazine’s specific requirements. These 740 charities are then put through an evaluation process that focuses on their financial statements, level of transparency and effectiveness of spending. Each charity is issued a letter grade and those with the highest letter grades are selected to be charities of the year. Operation Come Home received a B+ overall and is one of two Ottawa-based charities that were selected.

The entire team at OCH are both honoured and overjoyed. In many ways, Operation Come Home is a smaller organization that is continuously growing and evolving to offer the most innovative menu of programs to our youth. But what makes Operation Come Home really special is the fact that it’s home and it feels that way not just for the youth or clients, but for everyone who walks through the door. The entire staff invites you to take a tour of our centre at 150 Gloucester Street so you can see firsthand what is so special.

Thank you to all of our friends, supporters volunteers and staff who have made this accomplishment possible!
