Operation Come Home now offers a program focused on entrepreneurship, Innovation Works. As part of the “Ready.Set.Work.” initiative funded by the Ontario government, Operation Come Home was one of the organizations selected to run this new and exciting entrepreneurial-focused program.
Innovation Works was designed to assist at risk youth ages 16-29 with entrepreneurial activities. The project will provide young people with an opportunity to explore, replicate, start-up and receive supports to start businesses in Ottawa. The project will provide business and practical acumen so that all participants have the necessary tools to develop and execute their entrepreneurial ambitions. Participants will be working to develop their own business plans using the practical knowledge and the tools provided to them through Operation Come Home. The successful incumbents will be provided with mentors, on-going business planning and practical supports and will be eligible for start-up financing.
