Career Works

Career Works is an employment navigation program for youth ages 16 to 29 that are seeking employment support(s).  Youth have the opportunity to meet with an employment support worker and discuss their previous work/volunteer experience, needs, interests, skills, barriers and career goals. The employment support worker will then refer the youth to the most appropriate employment service based on their individual employment goals.

Job Action Center

Job Action Center is an employment program which serves youth ages 16 to 29 who self-identify or have been diagnosed with a disability. The program provides youth with individualized employment support (s) based on their career path. Many individuals face a variety of barriers to gaining or retaining employment such as lack of skills, work experience, mental health issues, substance use and difficulties with the ability to resolve conflict.

We aim to provide participants with the requisite tools and resources to overcome obstacles through skill development, employment preparation and certifications workshops. In addition, employment staff provide support (s) to employers and participants in the workplace to help address any employment related issues.

OCH ensures that all participants have a social support worker with whom they can meet on an as-needed basis to tackle issues pertaining to life skills or general social supports.
